- I have a suggestion that I would like to hear comments on:
-
- Think of the shift key as operating on "all", and the control key as
- operating on "word".
-
- Shift + Arrow = "move as far as you can in specified direction"
- Shift + Delete = "delete as much as you can to the right of the cursor"
- Shift + BKSP = "delete as much as you can to the left of the cursor"
- Control + Arrow = "move one word in the specified direction"
- Control + Delete = "delete one word to the right of the cursor"
- Control + BKSP = "delete one word to the left of the cursor"
-
- Does anyone have anything to add to this? Complaints? Flames?
- IMHO, it seems reasonable. A different keypress could be used to
- delete an entire line, line many text editors do. My personal
- favourite (currently unused by Atari for anything else) is ^Y.
